Frequently Asked Questions
Can you create a portrait from a photo?
I create all my portraits from photos that clients have supplied to me, this means I can create a portrait for someone across the world!
Do you have any tips on providing the best photo for you?
The best photo to supply is a clear, high quality one that shows lots of detail on your pet. It is best to take your photo in good lighting outside but out of direct sunlight. I always look for the highlights in the pet's eye as I believe that brings the portrait to life, so please have a clear portrait of your pet's eyes. I always say to my clients that the painting can only be as good as the photo supplied!
Do you ship oversees?
Yes, I ship worldwide 🙂
How will you post my pet portrait?
I tape all my finished portraits to professionally cut mounts ready for framing when they arrive with you. I then protect them inside a clear plastic sleeve, and package them inside a hard backed envelope, with more padding for extra protection!
Will you update me on the progress of my commission before it is finished?
Of course! I will always send you 'work in progress' photos so you can see the different stages of your portrait coming to life!
Do you need a deposit to secure my commission?
Yes, I need to take a 50% deposit of your final payment before I start work on your commission. This is because my pet portrait slots fill up fast (especially during Christmas) and this amount will secure your space on the waiting list.
